The tracking status of a device will determine whether or not it's actively sending position data at any time. When turned on, the device will automatically obtain a GPS fix and transmit it at a set frequency. When switched off, position data will still be attached to emergency alerts and messages.
There is no indication on the main screen of the device as to this status. If you have finished using the device for the day, we recommend deactivating instead of just turning off tracking as this will ensure that you don't have to review the tracking status each day and potentially miss this step.
Turning Tracking On and Off
Press the OK button to open the main menu and use the arrow button to navigate to Tracking and press OK.
The first option will be Status and will have the currently selected option.
Press OK to open the status option and select the tracking status you require.
Press OK and the status will be saved.
