This is a quick guide to how you can very quickly and easily add default Voice and SMS emergency contacts to your account and assets.

It is vitally important that you have default contacts set as if any of your devices are set to emergency mode, TracPlus call center staff need a comprehensive list of valid contacts that can receive a SMS notification of the emergency and can be called to achieve handover or offer assistance where needed.

Once successfully logged in you will be taken directly to the My Assets page with a list of all of your owned assets and tracking devices. Please click the ‘My Contacts’ link from the menu on the left hand side of the page.

My Contacts

The My Contacts page allows you to review your contacts, their details, and who the default contacts are within your organization.

Click on the “Add New Contact” button to add a new contact’s details into your list. You can update a current contact’s details by clicking on their name and then either “Edit Contact,” or “Delete Contact” to remove them from the list.

Default Contacts

At the bottom of the My Contact page you will find your defaults for SMS and Voice emergency notifications. Please choose your organization’s default ICE SMS and ICE Voice Contacts. A minimum of two ICE SMS Contacts and two ICE Voice Contacts are required.


Default Contracts

Click the ‘Edit Default SMS Contacts’ and choose contacts from your available contacts list. Repeat for the ‘Edit Default Voice Contacts list’.

Default contacts will only be contacted when they are assigned to specific assets. Default contacts will be automatically appended to an Asset if the Asset does not meet the minimum two Voice and/or SMS ICE contacts required. If you add the minimum two Voice and/or SMS ICE contacts to a given Asset the default contacts will be automatically removed from that Asset's emergency contact list.

ICE Contacts

If you would like to take this opportunity to review your current ICE contacts assigned to your assets please click the ICE Contacts link on the left hand side menu. This page lists the ICE Voice and ICE SMS contacts for each of your assets. The order of each list is the order in which the people will be contacted by TracPlus staff, should the distress function be activated.

Each list can be edited or a list of ICE contacts copied from another asset. The list of available contacts is taken from the contacts that have either been set by TracPlus support staff or by what has been entered under My Contacts. You can drag and drop a name from the available list on the right to the current list on the left.



You can only see the list of contacts that are associated with your organisation.
