The web page is split into 4 panels in which you can set parameters and see your assets tracking. Each panel’s width or size is customizable by mousing over the edge until the ‘two way’ arrow pops up; hold the left mouse button down to drag the edge until the desired size is reached.

The ‘Watchlist’ contains all the assets that you have visibility of. These are the ones you own, along with assets that other users are sharing with you.

The ‘Watchlist’ is further divided up with assets listed under the name of the respective operators. Clicking on the plus or minus sign in the box to the left of their operator’s name will either expand or contract the list of assets for that particular operator.

Right clicking on an asset in the Watchlist will open a sub menu from which you can do one of two things.

  • Send text message
  • Change standard rate

This is device dependent, as not all devices use these features. Whether these actions are available for any of the assets that others are sharing with you will depend on the level of permissions that they have set for you.

When TracPlus Web opens it will be automatically set to the current date, displayed as either local or UTC time, depending on what has been set under Preferences.

You can select any date by clicking on the left or right arrow and then selecting the day in that month. An alternative is to click on ‘Latest Reports’ which will take you to the last date that there was tracking for the selected asset.

If you have selected a date in the past, and you then select another asset, you will be see the tracking of the new selected asset on the date that you had previously chosen.

In the Layers panel you have two options; Map and Report. The ‘Map’ option gives you a choice of what type of map you will have displayed within the map window.

Map Layers

The ‘Report’ option allows you to turn off the trails for assets. This will just show the last recorded position of an asset. Tick to see the trails again.

There are 5 optional settings under Preferences that you can make changes on.

  • Reports – How many position report displayed on the map. The higher the number, the more reports that you can see per asset. Higher numbers may affect performance due to increased data being downloaded.

  • Center on selection – This keeps the selected position report centered on the map, within your viewing area.
  • Follow selected asset – Follows the asset as it is moving.

  • Fade trail with age – Ticking this means that the tracking trail will progressively fade depending on how recent or far in the past the tracking reports are.

  • Speed – Displays the assets speed in one of the three possible formats.
  • Height – Displays the altitude of the asset in one of two possible formats.

  • Time – Select what time zone is displayed, in either UTC or Local.
  • Date – Select what date format is used for the tracking reports.
